![]() In Olberic's town, every NPC is standing in front of a doorway. ![]() Flamesgrace up to Rippletied is all whited out, while Brigands Den is green, indicating I cannot fast-travel (as someone else said).Įvery NPC. I have not attempted to fast travel at any point in the game. Fast-travelling while in the middle of a chapter is usually how things start to get problematic. I will boot it up on a second save file to tinker with the Guide option.įast travelling should be saved exclusively between chapters. I clearly remember seeing her Chapter 1 finish. When starting and finishing any chapter, you are given a full screen dialog box that is read from an outside perspective (as in it reads like a storyteller is reading that character's story rather than that character retelling it). :) For context, currently have four party members, and am in the middle of going through Olberic's Chapter 1 where he goes to save Philip by beating up Gaston. If you have any further questions (that are reasonable) I'll try to continue to help.ĭisclaimer: I'm a girl. Starting over early is more worth it than having a character into their second chapter and being unable to finish it (and as a result, the game) because of being too stubborn to accept that you might have just got an unlucky bug. This is your last resort if everything else fails, or you cannot identify the problem. Rinse and repeat for the other people in your party, and then proceed like this entire mess never happened. Simply restart, skip all the dialog, quickly redo everything while remembering how to do it, and then finally complete the story. Falling back on point 3, important gameplay dialog is never combined with cutscenes. But there is some hope! If you hold "B" during cutscenes, you can skip them. I know, this part sucks, but there is a chance you got a rare and (for that save file) permanent bug. I understand that some scenes/dialog can seem long and arduous to get through, but it is better to read everything than to need to restart the game because something was missed. The more you do it, the more likely you missed something important. Those you cannot guide at all have a red "X" on the Guide icon.Ī big problem with rushing tutorials and any dialog on screen is that you can potentially miss vital information. Those whose level requirement you have not met yet have a grey icon, and that level requirement can be seen if you select to guide them anyways. Those who can be guided have a white guide icon. Certain NPCs can be guided as low as level 1, some as high as level 70, and some NPCs (like any of the children or people blocking doors) cannot be guided at all. You see, all NPCs have a restricted level towards their guidance. Towns appear as white icons when there are no active chapter quests in them, and green icons when there is an active or upcoming chapter quest.Ģ) Are you trying to guide absolutely every NPC, or specific ones? NOTE: You can fast travel to any town you have entered. Her icon would still be on Flamesgrace saying "Chapter 1" if this is true, although there is a chance it is flagged as "completed" and not showing that when it is not completed.ġb) Did you fast travel anywhere mid-chapter?įast travelling should be saved exclusively between chapters. I think this is most likely it, where you might not have even finished Ophelia's Chapter 1 entirely. ![]() ![]() If you have not seen this dialog, there is a chance you missed something, and the path action is being bugged as a result. trying, at best.ġ) Did you get a message signalling the end of the chapter for Ophelia? Trying to read important information in between rambling is. If you are answering these questions directly, leave the messages short but to the point. Okay, I am reading your stuff and I am at a mix of "I think I know what the problem is" and "this guy makes no damn sense".
